Surah Al-Muzzammil is the 73rd chapter of the Quran. The word “Muzzammil” means “The Enshrouded One or Wrapped in garments” and refers to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who used to spend long hours in prayer and meditation, sometimes enveloped in a blanket.
The Surah emphasizes the importance of prayer and meditation, reminding Muslims of the benefits of spending time in devotion to Allah. It also provides guidance on how to live a righteous and virtuous life, and encourages believers to be patient and steadfast in the face of adversity.
The Surah has 20 verses and is considered to be one of the earlier revelations of the Quran. It is considered a Medinan Surah, meaning it was revealed to the Prophet (peace be upon him) after he had migrated to Medina.
