Percentage x Number – Given Number = Resulting Number

Solution:

Percentage x Number – Given Number = Resulting Number

Let the number be x.

Then,

60% (x) – 60 = 60

60/100  x -60=60

6/10  x -60=60

6/10  x=60+60

6/10  x=120

6x = 120 x 10

6x = 1200

x = 1200/6 

x = 200,   The number is 200.
