The ‘Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare’ is observed every year on April 29th. This day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2005 to honor the victims of chemical warfare and to reaffirm the commitment of the international community to the prohibition of the use of chemical weapons. It also provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the dangers of chemical weapons and to promote the efforts to prevent their use.
